Andreas Psahos
“Climate change is a global problem stratified by class, and it is just another redirection by those in power to not internalize any of their profit-maximizing actions. Fighting climate change is not only correcting the wounds done to our Earth but also correcting the racist, sexist, and classist systems that force marginalized groups to bear most of the burden.”
Andreas is a proud resident of Astoria and comes from a “very Greek family in a very Greek neighborhood.” He loves writing and finding new ways to express his identity through art, and he plays both jazz and indie drums. Next year, Andreas will be pursuing a degree in Policy Analysis and Management at Cornell University. He is passionate about democratic change, public speaking, and project management. Andreas is a member of the Climate Museum Youth Advisory Council and this is his second time performing in Climate Speaks!
