“Our metaphysical relationship with Earth is a spiritual gift that we were all graced with upon birth. But somewhere down the line, society as a whole has forgotten and abandoned that truth. It breaks my heart to witness the corruption of mankind harm our planet, slowly deteriorating the ultimate miracle of life, and so I want to do my part in bringing awareness to this prevalent issue.”
Michelle lives in Staten Island with her Romanian father and Taiwanese mother. During her summers, she spends time in the beautiful countryside of Romania, which is where she found a deep connection with nature. Michelle is extremely passionate about media, language, writing, and activism. Currently, she is on the staff writing team for Haloscope magazine and ReDefy, a student-led news outlet. She is also an Teen Activist Project organizer at the New York Civil Liberties Union, where she engages in a variety of social justice reform projects.
